VRO files from Hitachi DVD-Cam

I have two disks from a Hitachi DVD-Cam, which I need to convert somehow into a single playable DVD.

 

Has anyone had any experience with this?

I know our Panasonic camera, you can just change the file extension to mpg and they work. It's probably a standard file type on hitachi's too.

Thanks for the reply. Turns out that the free tool DVD Flick recognises the files. I'm building an ISO image of the DVD project right now.

With no edits they're basically just mpeg2 files, if you ever want to extract scenes the software we bought in the end was Ulead Video Studio 11.5, about £20/computer at education prices.

Share my experience of converting and editing VRO files.

 

I had the same problem with you and It took me 5 months to locate one program that can not only convert VRO files but also keeps the sound in sync with the picture! There are alot of defective converters out there! I am excited to encounter the progarm called Aunsoft Video Converter which really solve my problem.It is a professional one in converting VRO files from my Sony HandyCam DCR-DVD405 to AVI for editing in Adobe Promiere and uploading to Youtube. You can use this software to transcode VRO to playable DVD
