nato92 Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Hey guys. Im a little confused.. Im trying to image a computer onto my WDS. so i sysprep the computer. then try to network boot.. it skips for some reason? once its unsysprepped again it will network boot? its very confusing. any ideas?
Gatt Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 OK lets get the obvious out of the way Is PXE boot enabled on the Client PC? Check boot device priority (eg PXE / DVD / HDD or DVD / PXE HDD) Is the network cable connected? (PXE will bomb out if it cant get a connection Have you created the capture image in WDS? Now for more subtle thoughts.. 1) Has the PC been previously imaged via WDS? 2) Was it named via WDS then subsequently deleted from AD? I have found this tends to kill the conenction to WDS until WDS deletes the record from its Database - after 30 days!
timlineuk Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 I've had this on a couple of workstations where PXE was enabled in the BIOS but then disabled in the PXE BIOS (if that makes sense?) Shift-F10 at POST seems to be the common key press to access this menu
