mrforgetful Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 I'm interested in this too, though it looks expensive from the couple of sites I've seen and I don't think a 10mb connection will suffice! Maybe a good point to use for that 100mb line! Not that it will be much help, but a guy I met on a course from a local school has a 100mb line between him and another school so they just backup to each other every night.
edie209 Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 This is not the perfect off site backup solution but this is what I have done. I bought a Buffalo TerraStation and located it in a building on the college site that is away from the rest of the site. The building is connected by 1 gig fibre and I backup to it every night. The Buffalo TerraStation is in a comms cab in that building so its locked away from anybody who fancies a little play.
