In my, ah-hem, younger days I had a Slot A based Durion system. Somehow one of the the clips holding the heatsink/fan to the daughterboard had broken off. So, in my infinate wisdom, I used a thick rubberband to hold it on. Last a surprsingly long time before the heat was too much for the elaccy band
