Joanne Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 Got a Tuff Cam in the primary school I help out. It has been going through batteries like hot dinners even when it hasn't been used. Is this normal? Or is it faulty? I know that cameras can eat batteries, but I'd expect a few hours of life out of it! Thanks.
elsiegee40 Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 We use rechargeables in ours and yes it does eat batteries. I seem to remember the leaflet that came with it warns use to use the best quality batteries with it. I'll look it out when I'm back in school tomorrow. 1

The additional expense is more than made up by the huge increase in battery life - up to 10 times the life of alkaline batteries. In tests we have taken more than 750 flash photographs on one set of batteries! So I'd assume they monster cheap ones... RwD 1

Joanne Posted November 30, 2009 Author Posted November 30, 2009 Cheers guys. I've recommended they get some lithium rechargeables... if there are such thing! Rechargeables at least anyways. Most cost effective.
