HodgeHi Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 garageband 09 might be able to do it. I haven't tried it though.
nicklec Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 Pretty sure they are just AAC files with .m4r extension, so audacity will do the job.
HodgeHi Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 I think it also needs to be a certain size. You may need to check that as well.
nicklec Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 I think it also needs to be a certain size. You may need to check that as well. Assuming your after ringtones, they have a cap on the duration .. not sure exactly how long but <60secs
seashell Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 Hi, Does anyone know of any software that will convert mp3 to m4r format please? Thanks Here is a tutorial to convert mp3 to m4r, that may be helpful:)
R0M Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 (edited) Pretty sure they are just AAC files with .m4r extension, so audacity will do the job. Nicklec is right, you can just: 1) Import the song into your iTunes library 2) Right click > Convert to AAC 3) Find the file (By default in windows C:\Documents and settngs\%username%\My Documents\My Music\iTuens\%artist%\%album%\songname.m4a) 4) Change extention from .m4a to .m4r 5) Remove origional .m4a file from your library and import the new .m4r This worked fine for me any way.
