ahunter Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Hi, We are currently using Netware 6.5 and are encountering an annoying problem for our teaching staff. Students are currently setting background images on their home directories. Is there anyway we can disable this for all users? Thanks in advance. Adam.
keithu Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 That's nothing to do with Netware, it's a Windows feature. There will be a hidden file called desktop.ini in the folder which tells it what background image to use.
ahunter Posted November 17, 2009 Author Posted November 17, 2009 My Bad, All sorted now. Am I right in saying this could only be achieved in Windows 2000 and the feature was removed in XP?
leosmith678 Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 Well i don't think that you do this. Its really good thing. Then i would advice you that in Windows 7 there is Windows 7 Starter edition comes with one desktop background, which can't be changed or customized. Hope it could be helpful to you.
