kevbaz Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 I wouldn't play dragon age on console, but for a shooter rpg like mass effect it's great fun! I was a diehard pc only kinda guy, but the control system works great, so simple to use and it just works, just starting my 2nd play through and will be getting the dlc at some point too
kevbaz Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 anyone got the new awakenings pack yet? im currently re-addicted to neverwinter nights 1 anyone else still playing that?
Dom_ Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 I got the expansion, was pretty good (if a little bit too easy!)... Pretty buggy too, but still worth it :-)
Valentine Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 Playing through Awakening now and it seems a lot less epic then Origins. The story and dialogue is top notch as with every Bioware game but the characters seem somewhat less... characterful. The fact you can unlearn all skills and talents at will and pick new ones is a nice feature but they lose their individuality. It's also stupidly easy, Nightmare mode with a far from "ultimate" party and no problems so far over half way through it. On Nightmare mode i expect to have to do boss fights a couple of times, it's no Mass Effect 2.
kevbaz Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 ok cool, i guess ill stick with my old skool dungeon crawling in nwn1, a server which i used to play on years ago has been reborn, been able to hook up with all my old buddies and once again epic crawls and boss fights are a nightly occourance if anyone interested in playing on a mature server with a nice balance of RP and action, hunt the dragon for its treasure in a party of heroes style then look up Ashen realm reborn on the nwn1 bioware boards, im on pretty much every night... love it
Valentine Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 For those also finding DA:Awakenings too easy by far can i recommend installing the mod at Awakening Plus v1-0, it makes Nightmare mode actually a decent challenge. (Some bits on the nexus site could be deemed NSFW but you have to be logged in to actually be visually offended).
