gcopnall Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 Hi My first post here. I have a Teacher that wants to delete Talking First Word from her CC3 network. I've heard that this may cause problems. It's there as a package in the RMMC, so I'm hoping it's purely a case of de-allocating it and restarting the workstations. Am I wrong? (probably)
gibbo_ap Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 yeah just deallocate. this is the rm package yes? 1
synaesthesia Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 Ruddy awful piece of software that! You *should* have no problems removing it - but there may be implications to Office, usually with normal.dot failing. Worst comes to worst, also de and reallocate Office and that'll not be an issue. I doubt it will come to that.
Michael Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 I'm glad it's not just me experiencing problems with this software. The irony is that it is RM's Software Restriction Policies preventing it running properly. De-allocating should work in theory. If it fails on a few machines, you should be able to uninstall it manually.
