[fog] Slax booting from PXE Menu (Linux Live with NTFS and Network support)

After playing around for a while trying to get this to work i finally cracked it and have managed to repeat the process on another FOG Server, so here are my instructions on how to boot Slax from your FOG Server through PXE.

ubuntu 9.4 default install

in /var/www don't have a html folder,

the fog folder is just there. when I try and drop the slax folder there I get permission denied. but am logged in with the 1st user account. ?

Either need to log in as Root or do a su command via terminal.

Yeah i had to su in fedora should have mentioned that

hmm it just doesnt do anything from the fog boot menu. is there a log file somewhere that can help me?

What do you get when you go to http://FOGSERVER/slax

 

what does `ls -l /tfptboot/` output?

I had the boot folder inside a slax folder in here.

Moved it out and it works. woot. thx.
