explorer.exe crashing

explorer.exe and iexplorer seem to be crashing a lot on the server, but ive also noticed it on the workstations....

 

This is what event viewer on my server says:

There isnt any one thing that causes it, that ive noticed anyway...any ideas?

How often is a lot?

 

IE crashes if you give it a dirty look, wouldn't worry too much about that unless it's several times during a user session.

 

Explorer crashing on the server though is a bit more worrying though, usual questions:

 

1) All windows updates installed?

2) When did this start happening, has anything changed around the same time, new printers, or software?

3) Have you gave it a reboot for good measure?

You dont happen to have PCE installed on the server do you? We have the same problem here (on workstations and not on server) and it is a known fault. Apparently the next version is supposed to fix this problem but as yet no update.

Well thought of, we've experienced these problems with PCE ref IE and the winsock stuff that's changed.

Erm, yes we do have policy central enterprise installed.....bloody typical...

 

Server...well i did install the client bit on the server accidently but i did remove it again, ive got the remotedeploy bit on there...

 

Now you mention it....its been happening since ive started using policy central....tut, for gods sake!!!

 

I might reboot anyway for good measure....
