TechSupp Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 I've just installed WSUS and its downloaded all its relevant updates, I've approved them, I've set a test group and add a PC in to it, I've approved them for that group but...how do I set when a PC is to get the updates? Found when to synchronise the server with the source update files but where do I set when the client updates?...or do I need to?
Michael Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Computer Config > Admin Templates > Windows Components > Windows Update I set the following policies as follows: Configure Automatic Updates - Enabled 4 - Auto Download, 0-Everyday, 10:00 Specify intranet Microsoft update service location - Enabled In both fields type: http://servername However if you installed WSUS (but not in the default location port 80), specify http://servername:8530 in both fields. Reschedule Automatic Updates scheduled installations - Enabled 15 Minutes No auto-restart with logged on users for scheduled.... - Enabled Automatic Updates detection frequency - Enabled 1 Hour Allow Automatic Updates immediate installation - Enabled Allow non-administrators to receive update notifications - Disabled Every other policy should be left as 'Not Configured' 1
