Hi everyone

I am trying to use the WDS on server 2008 and have done for around 100 of our computers with no problems the capture image worked great and was able to deploy without any difficulties, my question/problem i am having now is i have started to add in older machines Pentium III 1.0Ghz machines with 512mb all the same motherboards and hardware.

I have installed windows set it the exact way i want the image to be enabled ACPI in the BIOS and sysprep the computer run capture in WDS and the image has been uploaded onto the WDS server as well as the workstation. Now when i go back and try to deploy that image to the same work station it is showing "There are no images available" These computers are not Multi core processors and the HAL is showing as UP now i have tried added into the sysprep.inf

UpdateHAL=”ACPIAPIC_MP,%WINDIR%\Inf\Hal.inf

UpdateHAL=”ACPIAPIC_UP,%WINDIR%\Inf\Hal.inf

UpdateUPHAL=”ACPIAPIC_UP,%WINDIR%\Inf\Hal.inf

Each of these being done and then when one didn’t work move onto the next and so on but every time i try to go into the deploy images it shows that there are no images available. I have logged onto the WDS server and double checked that the image was uploaded and it has been and the size of the image is similar to that of the other image for different workstations.

Can anyone please help me with this problem as there are 80 machines to add onto the network and using WDS has been a great help with the first 100 machines i added.

Any help would be much appreciated

Thank you very much your were right it wasnt as scary as what it sounded :) i tried that but when i go back into the WDS server to add the clone update it says that it is not a valid image.

Now one thing i did notice was that on the newer image i have for the new machines i could find acpiapic_mp and that was fine but for the image of these older RM machines it was in the .wim as acpipic_up and not acpiapic_up that may have something to do with the problem as well but i am not sure.

I did try changing this to acpiapic_up but it said that it was not a valid image when i tried adding the .wim into wds
