BJG Posted October 8, 2009 Posted October 8, 2009 I've recently come across a couple of open-source apps I'm interested in installing on one of our servers, and they both use MySQL. This isn't likely to break anything is it...? (Looks like the server's already running SQL Server 2005, though this might just be part of Backup Exec.)
somabc Posted October 8, 2009 Posted October 8, 2009 There won't be a problem running them side by side. 1
Michael Posted October 8, 2009 Posted October 8, 2009 Some applications will use either MySQL or MS SQL, but seeing as they're open source as above, you can run MS SQL and MySQL on the same box with no problems. 1
plexer Posted October 8, 2009 Posted October 8, 2009 No problems doing that. We run Ozans MLH on one of our 2003 servers and use MySQL for it. Ben 1
