mjt41 Posted October 8, 2009 Posted October 8, 2009 Hi Guys, The kids at our school use a site called safelearner.co.uk. before the summer holidays the students were using the site fine. Since then we've had our DC rebuilt and most of the policies put back or redone. now the kids are receiving a message saying: 'This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system adaministrator.' I've gone through most of the group policies and I can't find anything that would be restricting the site. It's only when you click on the Learning Materials which opens in a pop up window. pop ups are allowed for the site. I've attached a screenshot of the error and it's not just this site it is happening on either
pabs1983 Posted October 8, 2009 Posted October 8, 2009 Have you set the wrong default applications in Group Policy? Also, try to run a GPRESULT /V to text file and go through that, that will help you see what policies are in place and where they have come from.
dwhyte85 Posted October 8, 2009 Posted October 8, 2009 Does it have an active x control that is trying to install?
mjt41 Posted November 2, 2009 Author Posted November 2, 2009 Problem solved. Someone turned on the group policy for stopping the kids opening new windows from other windows :/
