[Moodle] stop course creators from being enrolled on every course

Does anyone know a way to stop course creators being enrolled on every course. I would like them to manually enrol on the courses they need.

Just make them a course creator in their category - they don't need to be course creators sitewide anyway- I mean, usually, if you are a French teacher you aren't going to need to create courses in Maths so you don't need to be assigned globally as a course creator.

Due to the school amalgamation we many teachers teach in different subjects. For example one teacher teaches 5 subjects. It would be a real pain to do it this way.

I see what you mean On the other hand though -is it essential you have so many course creators? It takes less than a minute for someone to create a course and put a teacher in it - might it not be more manageable to assign a course creator per subject and then they just make the course a teacher wants, puts them in and leaves them to it? If all teachers were course creators you'd run the risk of your Moodle being populated with a load of unnecessary courses and no real structure within the departments?
