Fontayne56 Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 Does anyone know of a freesat pc card. Low Profile if possible which will intergrate into Windows Media Center ? Looking to get rid of sky and going for feesat. Whats your views. Many Thanks
Fontayne56 Posted September 25, 2009 Author Posted September 25, 2009 Thank you for that, Some issues to think about there. My tv signal is poor as i have the dish i'm thinking free sat is the easier solution. Does anyone know of any cards and where i can purchase them from. Many Thanks
tonyd Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 I'd have a look here - Computer Hardware - All - Multimedia / TV - Scan.co.uk
somabc Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 Don't get a Hauppage their drivers leave a lot to be desired
Fontayne56 Posted September 25, 2009 Author Posted September 25, 2009 This is a bit of a mind field ..... new technology !! Has anyone purchased a free sat card and has it working with media center
Dos_Box Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 I am a HUGE media PC fan. If you have Windows Media Center (go for Windows 7 as you get the HD channels too) you get the channekl listing downloaded via the media center app anyway. I would plump for a HD tuner card. I have these 2 fitted: Computer hardware and software at amazing prices, available online - Scan.co.uk! BGT3540 - BlackGold Both work flawlessly. You should look for a duel purpose card (DVB-T, DVB-S), although since the Blackgold card is no longer available it may be hard to find a low profile one.
Michael Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 I use a Hauppauge Win-TV-Nova-HD-S2 card. The version 7 software is pretty good, but I don't use the remote.
