teejay Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 Been having problems with my O2 broadband recently, but must say I've been very impressed with their support. Had intermittent dropouts which were getting more frequent and after previous experience with home broadband tech support wasn't holding out much hope of getting it resolved properly. Phoned them last Thursday, yes the hold queue is a bit long, but the support guy knew his stuff, actually saw there was a problem made some adjustments so I would get a stable but slower connection and set up a 24hr diagnostics on the line. Anyway, its taken them 6 days to fix the problem properly, most of which was because they needed to send me a new router, but they've actually phoned me 7 times in that period to keep me updated about what test they were doing and progress made. Turned out to be a problem with their equipment in the exchange. Now back up to full speed with a stable connection. Not bad at all for £7 a month.
synaesthesia Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 Aye, always found their support absolutely top notch, and the connection really is second to none - especially for that price Can't really moan! Will certainly stay with them or Be when moving house soon.
RabbieBurns Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 I use the BE Pro package, as Im a bit more of a heavier user and use their multi IPs etc.. But their support is unreal.. I posted a problem on their help forum, and within half an hour their support people had resolved the issue. Its great
russdev Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Any views on O2 broadband as going to get Iphone and can get it cheap might move to them Russ
RabbieBurns Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Any views on O2 broadband as going to get Iphone and can get it cheap might move to them Russ o2 broadband is pretty cheap at the best of times. They own Be, which is their more hardcore user broadband packages, whearas o2 is more the gen-pop type user. Same gear in the exchanges though, so same speeds. Not sure about 02 support, but the Be support is pretty damn good.
russdev Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Have to go with O2 Access as can't get BE/o2 around here yet.. Russ
CHR1S Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 O2 via my iPhone has always been great, only had to call support twice and both times they have been very helpfull.
russdev Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Is that just o2 over BT lines then? Thats the one O2 using adsl etc no unbundled loop. Main thing is support.. Russ
