Sound not working on windows

Wasn't sure if to post this here, but the problem seems to be related only to a few macs in school, so maybe a hardware/driver issue?

 

The problem is, sound is not been played through the headphone jack (which we have speakers connected to) instead it just plays through the internal speakers, even with a jack plugged in.

 

This only occurs when booted up into windows, the sound works fine on the mac side.

 

So far I have tried Uninstalling and reinstalling the driver, changing the driver and different speakers/headphones.

 

Has anyone else had this problem? or maybe have a solution?

Try this Windows patch - http://couponmeister.com/blog/HD_Audio/KB835221.exe (not on MS for immediate download). Uninstall any drivers associated with High Definition Audio if you're showing any in device manager. Re-install the Realtek Audio drivers off the Leopard disk. Reboot. Hey presto.

Is it boot camped or are you running Windows in a virtual environment?

It's boot camped, and also the other suggestion did not work either

What version of windows is this? If it's Vista or 7 then go to playback devices, right click and show disabled and disconnected devices... jack sensing in Vista is irritating.
