WSUS Manually copy to new server?

Morning All,

 

It seems our new server has a knackered C drive and its corrupting a whole host of files :-( We are getting a replacment on Monday but I am in the process of moving some of the roles to a backup 2k8 server. One of the things I am trying to do is to move all of the old WSUS packages to the new server. We have about 3gb of files and being on a dodgy 1mb connetion I am reluctant to have to download them all again.

 

Does anyone know if there is a way to manually copy the packaged over to the new server and get it to recognise the files ? To add to the dilema the old WSUS is corrupt and I cannot get into the WSUS console to do the manual copy as suggested here MCSE 2K3: Transfer WSUS updates to another server

 

Any help will be gratefully recieved ;-)
