cromertech Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 I am trying to get LanView4 client deployed across the whole school but I can't get the shipped version of VNC to run on a non-default port. This is necessary as I run ITalc for the teachers in the IT Suites but I want LanView so that I can use the IAM for blocking internet. Can I transform the standard client msi to not install VNC at all or can I do something to change the port. Changing the winvnc.ini file did not help by the way.
MetalMonkey Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 Hi Changing the VNC port with the built in VNC support is not possible. However, you can specify your own command line to launch VNC (externally) in the LV4 options. This allows you to specify a different port. However, the integrated VNC window won't work. Regards Kevin
