data protection manager 2007 - recovery point volume

i know that data does tend to increase over time. every so often im having to increase the recovery point volume and this, but this is on the system state.....it was before i changed it 30gb and now its 35gb but its used 29.57gb i dont understand this how the heck can a system state be this big ?? all the server is , is just a file server server for the staff profiles . the server is a hyper v so we are using hyper v technology aka virtualising.....upoon writing this i have just noticed this

DPM needs some serious babysitting, its rubbish at guessing disk sizes and I keep having to increase them.
