artfulmatt Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 Hello Peeps We have a sharepoint site that we want to have anonymous and authenticated access to dependant on where they go. Sharepoint is behind ISA 2006 We basically have the root site with 3 subsites and we want access as follows; Homepage (root) :- Anonymous Learn :- AD Authentication Communicate :- Anonymous Engage :- AD Authentication Is there a funky rule I can make to publish the above - AD authentication works fine, but to enter the site your asked for credentials although the homepage and communication subsite are set to anonymous. Cheers Matt
RobFuller Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 Hi Matt, Did you find the answer to this? As this is exactly what I need to achive so we can allow parents who have forgotten there passwords to reset them though our SharePoint portal. Thanks, Rob
RobFuller Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 I found the answer if it’s of help to anyone in the future; make sure the rule condition is for All Users not just Authenticated Users and make sure in the Listener, Authentication, Advanced that the require all users to authenticate isn’t ticked.
apearce Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 One thing to do is to test you annoymous access within you network first, direct to the sharepoint sever. Make sure you get this working first and then work on you Listener in ISA 1
RobFuller Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 Yes it did work internally fine, I just didn’t realise that option until now in ISA.
knotty Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 Don't forget you also need to configure SharePoint for anonymous access both in web app config and in site config.
