Shouldn't that say "one of the first graphical browsers"?

 

I don't really know the order things appeared but I thought Lynx was one of the first browsers - Lynx source distribution directory Best thing is that it's still current (latest update on the web site is just a few weeks old!)

WorldWideWeb by Tim Berners-Lee (on NeXT) was first Web browser because he had to invent http to make it work! Line Mode Browser - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia the first text web browser came very shortly after from CERN well before lynx and even before gopher.
