karldenton Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 Hi, After several attempts and help from other users on here I still can't get MRBS working with AD. So.. 2nd thought. Is there a way to remove the login from MRBS, so when staff goto the relevent URL they can book rooms without login in? I know this means they can remove each others but will mean I can get it working for now.
AlexB Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 Edit file mrbs_auth.inc Find the function getAuthorised($level) make the first line return true; Obviously you also lose the record that said who created the booking.
Guest Guest Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 And anyone will be able to delete bookings so that they can book the room themselves, believe me it WILL happen.
dgsmith Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 This really isn't a good idea. Teachers WILL abuse the ability to remove bookings from other staff and play innocent when they don't know why it "magically vanished". We didn't go the AD route (though I may look into it in the near future), and simply set up an account for each person (on MRBS's own database). Time consuming, yes it is, but will save the hassle if you bypass any authentication requirements!
