Jose Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 If you have a classroom set of desktop PCs that you are getting rid of this summer, we would like them, Willing to pay for them to be collected from your school and dropped here. We will then remove any labels/security tags that identify them to your school. This covers you from the recycling rules and regs.

6Foot2 Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 Blast! We are already committed to the disposal of more than 60 Viglen Incepta II base units, flat screens, some servers and laptops [collection scheduled for tomorrow morning]
featured_spectre Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 if you had come to us about a month ago you could have had 70 PC's from us!
maniac Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 I have around 20 Dell GX260 machines I'm getting rid of, Pentium 4 2GHz with 256-512mb ram depending on the machine. They're a bit tatty, but most of them work. I have 17" CRT monitors to go with them. They are all security marked, however I don't think this is a problem as long as the transfer of assets is recorded with a receipt from yourself detailing the equipment we've 'donated' If you want them, let me know ASAP as I'm arranging the collection of them soon. Mike.
6Foot2 Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 (edited) Hi Mike, We are interested in these if Jose can't use them. If we can get hold of them it would allow us to finally ditch the legacy Viglen Incepta IIs we have here. Where are you? When could we pick them up? However we have enough flat screens to cover these machines: Can we take only the base units? Many thanks. Edited August 4, 2009 by 6Foot2

maniac Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 That's fair enough, so do we now which is why I've got about 60+ CRT monitors going to be recycled shortly. DaveP if you want just the base units, then you are more than welcome to them, they are only going to be recycled otherwise as they are no use to me any longer. I'm based in Canterbury, and you're welcome to collect them as soon as you like. Also Correction to the numbers, I only have 18 of them and not 20 as I originally thought. Mike.
markwatkins Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 We have about 100 to dispose of mainly Tulip/RM all Pentium 4 256 & 512 RAM 40 Gb HDDs and 17" CRTs happy to give all or some to anyone who needs them.
dgsmith Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 I was going to say - we have 24 baseunits of spec P4 1.7ghz, 256MB ram with 20GB hard drives to get rid of (no OS licence), but there seems to be better offers above! Of course if anyone else is interested they can PM. Also got some RM Celeron 2.4Ghz, 256MB ram with 40GB hard drives (XP OEM) to do something with as well.. Got a fair few 17" CRTs, but noone wants these anymore - so I guess they will be recycled with the above if we can't find takers!

Hi Mike, Can you send me a PM with your details [location etc] I have just heard from our Site Support team that they can be in your area on Monday with one of our minibuses to collect the kit. Thanks.
