I have copied correct NIC and wireless (witch we do not use) at correct location and have edited .SIF file and restarted RIS server still no luck, I have spoke to HP support and they say I have to talk to Microsoft RIS team. Please help what I’m doing wrong: RIS server: Windows 2003 server (SP2) running as DC Client RIS image: Windows XP SP2 HP 7900 Ultra Small Desktop : Nic: Intel PRO/1000 Wireless: Intel WLAN HP Mini 2140 Laptop: Nic Marvell Yukon Gigabit Ethernet Controller Wireless: Broadcom Wireless LAN Adapters Error Massage: The operating system image you selected dose not contain the necessary drivers for your network adapter. Try selecting a different operating system image. If the problem persists, contact your system administrator. Thank you in advance for your support. Edited July 22, 2009 by ZeroHour
Marc Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 Have you tried autoimage? Simplifies setting up (almost in our case) 'universal' RISsetup images. If you use DPBase available from driverpacks.net you will find driverpacks that cover the vast majority of drivers. It will also integrate the text-mode setup NIC drivers. We've been doing it this way for a year now - one image does all machines (over 10 types of laptop/desktop). 1
