jcs808 Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 Well OWA 2003 really. Is there a way to populate the list of email addresses in the global address book automatically in OWA 2003 rather than having to do a specific search or use a space then click the find button? Thanks
klawd Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 I dont think you can, at least not without hacking away at code. I believe this is by design, since the GAL is created dynamically from the Active Directory, and having users pull it up, close it, refresh etc, would put strain on the DC's and also waste bandwith. In OWA 2007, they introduced a browsable GAL which is one of the reasons I wanted to upgrade, you can buy similar functionality for OWA 2003 from messagelabs, but last time I checked it was too expensive to justify. Maybe this will do what you want? Plus Pack | Turn Outlook Web Access into Microsoft Outlook

jcs808 Posted July 14, 2009 Author Posted July 14, 2009 With owa 2003 when I open the address book I'm not presented with a list of users and email addresses until I enter some search criteria. That's fine if I want to search, but I was wondering if this could be populated upon opening the address book like it does in the full version of outlook.
