One of my schools is wanting to replace all teacher desktops with laptops plus a docking station. The USB ones are cheaper and more flexible in use than the standard docking stations that tend to be rather large and quite heavy, and more annoyingly, proprietary to a specific make or even model of laptop. Has anyone used one, and if so what are yourexperiences good or bad and recomendations?

Thanks

I have used them in the past, and i must admit i do prefer the bigger docking station more.

But as you say, if you have different types off machines then it looks like you will have to use USB. there not bad i just prefer the more fixed docking station.
