Frazer Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 Bit of an odd request this one! One of my boss's has asked me to source a robbie williams music video for them. It was ~2002 when they saw it and they swear blind that the video contains Robbie acting out a few different movie scenes. I showed them Millenium (~3min ver) and that doesnt seem to be the one. Anyone any ideas which it could be?
NetworkGeezer Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 Do your work in Corby, Northants by any chance?
marco84 Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 Its not supreme is it, the video is of him as a racing driver in the style of sterling moss!!!
GrumbleDook Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 Why? Is there a lack of real work there? If I can get a job here they must be desperate? I'm intrigued as to why corby, northants too?
NetworkGeezer Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 It's just that the original post mentioned Robbie Williams and the request sounded like the king of thing SMT would do. Putting 2 and 2 together ....
Frazer Posted July 14, 2006 Author Posted July 14, 2006 How did it go from robbie williams to where I work? As it 'appens! I work @ Hodgson in Blackpool/Poulton (Lancs). It was a member of SMT that asked me for the video - she saw it at a presentation and wants to use it for something of her own. I dont think its supreme. Its even more difficult because she cant remember the exact content other than robbie williams and films and then its difficult to get hold of her to say yay or nay to any I find!
GrumbleDook Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 It's just that the original post mentioned Robbie Williams and the request sounded like the king of thing SMT would do. Putting 2 and 2 together .... SMT in corby schools make silly requests? erm ... I cannot comment ... @kingswood: what do you reckon?
alan-d Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 Was it the Sing when your swinging or something like that. The one he does old time tunes on?
artram Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 Try this link. It has a list of all Robbie Williams Vidoes. http://www.mvdbase.com/artist.php?last=Williams&first=Robbie
bossman Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 If it is for her/his own personal use then i would tell them to go and f*** it themselves. What kind of a request and more to the point what does SMT think you do all day. It is people like this that make my blood boil. I know which DVD they are wanting but they can just go on wanting and by the way you need to be a little more assertive letting SMT walk all over you like this, your not a servant your a real human being just like them. P.S the f word asterixed refers to the word "find"
ChrisC Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 Yes, it is a waste of our time. But.......... In a way, it shows they believe you have superior googling skills compared to them, so in a way, it's a compliment. (the above it meant to be tongue in cheek) Chris
Ric_ Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 So this is what happens when you get technology status and have lots of technicians
Frazer Posted July 17, 2006 Author Posted July 17, 2006 @Ric Haha. Just wait till we get our 2nd specialism There is a reason I allow this ONE particular SMT member to 'walk all over me'. This one is my direct boss and apart from going to the Head, is next in line. If something is becoming difficult or awkward I can goto this person and they will bend over backwards to help me, unlike others who are only out for themselves. @artram: thanks for the link, will take a look today.
