Hi, just been landed the tesco vouchers thing and the guy ordering has asked to order these

They're an RM Asus minibook 8.9" but do have the mechanical 80gb hard drive. There's no spec on the RM site relating to these as they all seem to have the atom processor where as i think this is a celeron 900

I only want them if i can get xp pro onto them and logged into the domain so has anyone had any experience with this? Are the drivers available? Are they any good anyways?

I'm trying to order some netbooks, but wanted (for our staff and kids) the 12" screen so was hoping to get some NC20s. Kinda curious if Samsung are due to release any new 12" models though alongside the range of new 10" models

Anyways.. any help greatfully appreciated.

Thanks

That RM Asus minibook is an Asus EeePC. It runs XP Home so Pro would be no problem! Although it is a celeron and they are pants! Obviously doesn't come witha pro licence though so you would have to upgrade.

The 10.1inch EEE PC 1000HE looks like a good contender if your budget can stretch? Better processor etc 9hr battery life too

An NC20 doesn't have a 20" screen, a netbook with a 20" screen?

Ben

Sorry, 12" screen, i was being told about a broken printer whilst typing!!

I wouldn't choose to buy these, the RM Asus but they're 'free' from Tesco schools and the teacher here really wants to play with a netbook, plus i've just been told we have around 20 thousand vouchers and i have to decide today!

In all honesty there's not really a lot on offer i'd choose

Thanks for advice and responses
