I have been trying to get this set up on a box nearly all weekend. I Can get everything installed correctly (PHP & MySQL) but when I install a website for Xibo and open the website go to the page that created the database I just get an error saying ""Unable to write to settings.php. We already checked this was possible earlier, so something changed"

Has anyone had this before and been able to fix this?

How did you check it before?

What OS and webserver are you using?

I did not check it before the software does the check, and the software gets the error.

I have tried with server 2008 x64, server 2008 x86 & server 2003 x86

And the webserver is??

If it was running on *nix, I'd make sure the directory and file permissions were appropriate and that the ownership was set to www-data (or whatever apache was running as). Should be much the same on windows under IIS.
