Moodle - Hiding Courses from unspecified Teachers

Morning all,

 

We make use of hidden courses here to develop new courses outside of student sight (obviously) however I've been asked for further this so that hidden courses are only visible to teachers whom have been added to the course roles

 

I've managed to set it so that hidden courses are only visible to the course creator, but adding teachers makes no difference, it's always hidden. I'm getting the settings wrong somewhere me thinks.

 

What is needed

All Courses set to hidden are visible only by the course creator and anyone entered in the editing teacher or non-editingteacher roles

Permissions > Define Roles > Manage Roles > Edit

 

Under the "Course" heading

 

View hidden activities

moodle/course:viewhiddenactivities

View hidden courses

moodle/course:viewhiddencourses

View hidden sections

moodle/course:viewhiddensections

View hidden user fields

moodle/course:viewhiddenuserfields

 

I believe the Deny parent permissions stop it for each course. Have a test with the main teacher/non-editing to see if it allows, then disable per course?

 

I have those 4 set to allow, and it seems to work for me
