Can anyone explain to me why on the view tap of internet explorer i can change the text size but the icon still remain the same. Is there anyway i can change the size of the icon on webpages when they are displayed.

Because you're changing the font size of the text, but images have fixed dimensions to stop them blurring, skewing, etc.

Not without the magnifier or a similar tool.

Alternatively (and I know it's a cliche) use firefox (probably opera too). In FF if you use +<+> or +<-> the page and everything on it is scaled up/down.
