Hi All,

Interesting question coming... (not sure if this should be here or blue skies techically!)

Does anyone out there offer true Unified Communication?

If so, how? What software do you run? What hardware do you support?

I like the sound of Exchange 2010 and also Communications Server, but would be interested in hearing from anyone with experience of something else?

I love the MS Unified Communication and I'm working on something at the moment that would allow schools to come and see what the MS UC can do and some tips on the configuration of it.

Have you seen the Devil Wears Prada Unified Comms video - very good

We are looking at using it as our whole phone system with each staff with their own ext and with exchange 2010 as the answer machine. Pupils will have OCS instant communication and group chat which is new in OCS R2

We're in the process of integrating OCS R2 into our phone system, and have just put the unified comms role on our exchange servers.

I know the boston IT team have done away with desk phones and are now exclusivly OCS, but I'm unsure of how far we're gonna take it in one go...

We run the full hosted messaging and collaboration UM platform.

So Sharepoint, Exchange 2007, OCS 2007 R2

It integrates really well with the whole office package, we use SIP phones (even over the internet) and it works like a dream!

We also sell it as a hosted service to anyone interested.
