robinhood Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 Hi all, I am creating a server for one of our primary schools as part of our support commitment. I like the way LNM creates a structure quickly and fairly simply - so I have chose it as the base for the network. However, when trying to image a windows PC using LNM RIS I get the following error as Windows XP begins its automated setup: "Untranslatable message, Win32LastError is 14001" This is at the stage when the XP picture appears and the counter - stating 39 mins (plus the screen to the right stating all the new features of XP). I am wondering whether it was because I didn't use an original XP SP2 CD during the initial install (I used one of our backup copies). Any ideas? I'm about to give up on it.
m25man Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 As long as the CD used was a TRUE XPSP2 and VLK version you should be fine. Possibly a file has been corrupted in the copying process. The only issues I have seen with RIS and a basic image are drivers.
t_guest Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 you should of used XP SP2 CD during the initial install the backup cd
