Database for Primary Level

Our Junior department is looking for a database program to replace Granada Database. Do any of you have recommendations on which programs are good at this level?

We have Textease Studio CT which includes both database and spreadsheet modules.

 

Our youngsters start with Textease and move on to M$ Office

You could try Junior Viewpoint which is not bad, and will run as a multi user database if you get the latest version. I have also used MangoData which on the surface looks OK I have ahad probloems with it so if I had to choiose I would go with Junior Viewpoint.

My old school used textease for children up to year 4. My current school uses Junior Viewpoint and Junior Pinpoint for children up to year 8

We find Excel to be quite sufficient for everything the Primary curriculum asks of a "database" program. We used to use BlackCat's Information Workshop, but staff unfamiliarity with it made Excel the better option.

 

We use Junior Viewpoint in Y7.
