I know that Telstra Wireless Broadband is very good, however, I would not suggest to go to the Telstra Turbo modem. Better to use the older 7.2Mps modem ($299).

We see people using the 3 and Optus mobile broadband products in city areas with no real problems (complaints) but Telstra and the Bigpond mobile devices are hands-down winners in every review I've ever read. And you can use these products in some of the Atom based notebooks by installing the SIM card rather than a usb stick, for always available ADSL on the road.
