Sofware deployments via startup scripts

For stuff we cant deploy via MSI, we usually just use a startup script and run its installer in passive/non interactive mode. Now, in XP this worked well and would display the installation progress baronly for that installation during computer startup.

 

In Vista however nothing gets displayed, even though our installation scripts are working correctly.

 

Is there any way that we can get vista to display these programs installations? As I say we are running the installers "non-interactively" so they should display a progress bar and nothing else.

Don't think you can and I think this is part of the new security model for Vista.
