deploying software to Windows 7 through group policy

As I m only beginning with Active Directory, I m doing everything that the Internet suggestes, when I assign software through group policy, it doesnt appear in the start menu (what people suggest happens) when I deploy to a Windows 7 PC. I m about to install VMWare virtualising XP to see if that helps, but has anyone got this working on Windows 7 yet?

Answered my own question! works with XP but not with Win7, looks like you need server 2008 R2 beta
