SIMS Assessment Manager problems!

Hi all,

 

 

We have recently upgraded to the March release of SIMS. However we have been having a few problems

 

 

When teachers / staff go into focus - Assessment - Mark sheet entry, it pops up with an error.

 

This is the error: The File ‘\\hoo-..\.....$\mattking\my SIMS Documents\SUPPORT ICT\uk-english-v3-whole.dict’ already exists. : System.IO. IOException

 

Fault Code: 6340-3748-3000

 

 

I have narrowed it down to a problem with the dictionary file within SIMS. If i rename this file to .old, then Assessment Manager works fine but without no spell checker. If i delete the file, then go into assessment manager it just creates a new .dict file.

 

 

I have been speaking to capita regarding this and they have looked at file permissions, reinstalling the SIMS application. They have RD into our file server and they still can’t find out what’s causing the error.

 

Any ideas?

Try a local profile user rather then a roaming.
