Adobe Photoshop Elements

Hi

we are having a strange problem with Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0 (XP Pro Clients) and a HP 2025n matching print colours , i have spoken to HP who couldnt shed any light on the problem(as other applications seem to print ok) ,our graphics users are sending work through to print and the printer colour doesnt match the screen colour,maybe i am missing something glaringly obvious.

Has anyone else had this problem and managed to correct it at the moment we are redirecting their course work through to one of our Canon big colour copiers and all seems ok.

Most of the time it seems to be colour density and shades lighter /darker (some purple appears as blue)etc but its causing alot of problems as coursework needs to be printed and we have only just bought this printer.

 

any help as always is greatly appreciated

have they tried exporting to a PDF and printing that?

It might be they way they are saving - saving as RGB rather than CMY or somthing like that - I haven't really used photoshop but my wife's said something along them lines before

I'd suggest going on the Adobe forums. If there's a problem, then the chances are it's documented there. Photoshop Elements - User to User Forums

Have you applied a colour profile to the printer, and/or have you applied one to PhotoShop Elements? If both, do they match?

Ive never done this before and didnt realise you had to,would you care to elaborate on this for me please
