KWestos Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 I need some large rubber mats for my server cabinets to sit on. Does anyone know where I can get these from. Many thanks
Andrew_C Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 Couple of thoughts... Have your PE dept got any old mats? Secondly electrical wholesalers should be able to supply insulating mats for live working. BUT do you really want an insulating mat? Will this raise the risk of static damage? The rack itself would be earthed, but if the mat extends beyond the rack, anyone standing on it could be at a substantial potential to the rack.
FN-GM Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 You wont wanted a padded one form PE the rack will be rocking.
dhicks Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 Have your PE dept got any old mats? Argos sell a pack of four thin square foam mats desgined to stand weight-lifting equipment on, I should think those should do the job. -- David Hicks

SYNACK Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 Linolium or tile floors here, non conductive, easy to clean and cheap.
