Sims fms6 attach database error

Hi, i'm in the middle of attaching a new database to fms6

 

 

when i click attach i get the error

 

Unhandled exception error

Ad hoc update to system catalogs is not supported.

 

 

Event log brings up a problem with dotnet2 so i've uninstalled and reinstalled it but still the same problem.

 

Any ideas?
