featured_spectre Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 I have a seperate issue from the one that is already posted. My issue is that a member of staff has the laptop set up identically to her old one, and the files sync without a problem, but the issue we have is when she leaves the school building and is no longer in the range of the network, she is unable to gain access to the files. Anyone have any ideas?
SYNACK Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 Is the group policy for the laptops set to specify the action on disconnect? User Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Network -> Offline Files : Action on server disconnect = Work Offline
featured_spectre Posted March 4, 2009 Author Posted March 4, 2009 (edited) Is that in the active directory or on the server? or on the laptop because I didnt do that on either laptop she uses. Edited March 4, 2009 by featured_spectre
featured_spectre Posted March 4, 2009 Author Posted March 4, 2009 nevermind I got it, and no it wasnt set so I changed it!
featured_spectre Posted March 4, 2009 Author Posted March 4, 2009 I had hoped that it would fix the issue, but it hasnt. I have had the said member of staff restart the PC, turned off all wireless and network connections of any kind and she is still unable to get to the sync'd drive.
adamf Posted March 13, 2009 Posted March 13, 2009 We've also got this problem. Does anybody have any ideas?
