DVD Ripping Software For Mac

Hi,

 

Another one of my DVD's as been scratched.

 

I have a mac mini that i have hooked upto my TV. I want to use it as a media centre. The plan is to rip all my DVD’s onto an external hard disk and put the original DVD’s away in a safe place. This wil benefit me as my DVD’s wont get damaged and i can get a film on without messing round with media.

 

So my question is does anyone know any good software to rip DVD’s that runs on Mac? I would preffer something free

I believe Handbrake is what you are looking for (although i have never tried it since I'm not a mac owner).

Handbrake is also available for Windows. And if the mac version is anything to go by, it's very good at what it does.
