faza Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 I have a Exchange 2003 and i have a series of errors which are constant throughout the day every 2 minutes in the Application log. Error Code - 8213 Couldn't find an accessible writable domain controller for domain 'CN=Configuration,DC=DOAMIN,DC=DOMAIN'. DC=DOMAIN,DC=DOMAIN AND... Error Code - 8026 LDAP Bind was unsuccessful on directory MAGRAT.ADMIN.HODGEHILL for distinguished name ''. Directory returned error:[0x51] Server Down. DC=ADMIN,DC=HODGEHILL AND.. Error Code - 8250 The Win32 API call 'DsGetDCNameW' returned error code [0x54b] The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted. The service could not be initialized. Make sure that the operating system was installed properly. These three errors are constant throughout the day causing the exchange server to lose connection intermittently. Can anyone help I have looked at the Microsoft site and nothing what it does tel you i have done but does not work. hope you can help faza
m25man Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 You have DNS configuration issues. from a command prompt run nslookup on all your DC's You MUST be resolving YOUR OWN M$ DNS server If you have ANY errors running this command then you need to fix your dns. 90% of AD errors come back to failed or failing DNS configs.
