MS Photostory won't create edit file

RM Windowbox 8. I need to be able to save the photostory projects to be able to edit later from Pupil user. Currently when pressing the save project button nothing happens. can only save project as a wpv file for playing. if logon as an administrator (Manager) can save project for editing and once back as Pupil can then edit this file, but this is a long winded way round and we need the users to be able to save their own projects for editing as teachers can't reload and resave 30 files after each lesson.

has anyone got any ideas?
