There starting to wear me down - I'll think I 'll start ringing up at the end of each day when there hasn't been a major outage and tell them that it worked instead of ringing when there is a fault :)

 

I'll waste less time.

 

I even tried just a simple email today so that I didn't have to spend time hanging on and waiting for someone to ring back.

 

I sent it from a CLEO account and put my mobile number in - they rang the school back so the school sec had to come and find me and all they wanted to do was confirm what I'd written in the email :(

 

You'd think by now, that there would be a big sticker on the wall that says if Simon rings and says something's bust - it probably is :)

 

I am looking for alternative web and Moodle hosting :)

You can, but you are still reverse proxied via CLEO servers. As CLEO/LancsNGFL schools have no direct Internet facing IPs assigned to us to use like that.

Just a note... I reported the fault with Westfield yesterday and was told that the outage was due to some upgrade borking connections to the SQL cluster.
