nic-clark Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Hi, Just wondered if anyone has come across this issue before... We've got 30 HP 6715s laptops that work over our wireless network. They log on no problem after setting up the broadcom utility to start the card. When a user logs off though, it just sits there. I'm wondering if something is holding it open or if there is something else interfering? Any help appreciated! Cheers.
dalsoth Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Only thing similar is when we use our terminal server to log on with. Sometimes if you have not let it take it's time to log on it will not allow the log off. No error, just sits there. Try a minute or two later it allows it. I assume it is processing things from the log on attempt still. Are your laptops not allowing log off even after being online for a fair amount of time? Have you checked event logs ? Tried using just windows wireless zero config rather than 3rd party?
nic-clark Posted February 18, 2009 Author Posted February 18, 2009 Hi, Yeah, it seems to happen even when they've been logged on over a lesson or so, I will check the event logs ( I always forget to) and see what they say. I can never seem to get the wireless to work without the broadcom utiility, but will have a go at disabling it and see what happens! Cheers.
